Coal Miners Grandfather was the first aid person and the fire boss in the Edborne Pennsylvania coal mine. There were other workers who also obtained first aid qualifications. In the event of an accident men were relieved of their normal duties and went to the accident scene to administer first aid.

Coal Miners Equipment Coal miners are underground workers that could possibly be an hour or more travelling time to the surface. So if an accident took place it could take quite a while to obtain medical assistance for a doctor or a nurse.

Taking a pulse Step 1 Turn your left hand palm-side up, then place the first two fingers of your right hand along the outer edge of your left wrist just below where your wrist and thumb meet. Step 2 Slide your fingers toward the center of your wrist. You should feel the pulse between the wrist bone and the tendon. Step 3 Press down with our fingers until you feel your pulse. Do not press too hard, or you will not be able to feel the pulsation. Feel free to move your fingers until the pulse is easiest to feel.free Step 4 Continue to feel your pulse for a full minute. Concentrate on whether the beats are evenly spaced, or whether they are erratic, with missed beats, extra beats, or beats that are too close together.

Proper 911 call Here's How: Stay calm. Know the location of the emergency and the number you are calling from. Wait for the call-taker to ask questions, then answer clearly and calmly. If you reach a recording, listen to what it says.

Proper 911 call continued Let the call-taker guide the conversation. Follow all directions. Keep your eyes open. Do not hang up the call.

THE END SAVE SOMEONE’S LIFE ONE DAY!!!
