2 What is unique about it? Multi-purpose facility that serves as a one-stop facility for disabled and non-disabled people. Clients will have the opportunity to receive counseling services, participate in life skills and job training services, recreational activities, participate in music, art, and cultural activities, and social/celebratory events.

3 W hy should it be classified as a mission-driven organization? Diversity Incorporated is classified as a mission driven organization because of its direct approach in empowering people with disabilities to become self-sufficient, independent, and innovative while learning skills and obtaining training in order to be more productive within society. Definition of Mission-Driven Organization according to Renz (2010). A nonprofit organization can range from an informal grassroot organization to a multi-million dollar foundation that has a positive impact on society.

4 Mission Statement: Discover, utilize, and optimize the talents of each participate through active engagement in job training, education, life skills activities, recreational, and cultural events. Vision Statement: To enable each person with disabilities to be participates in a diverse setting while achieving their goals, discovering their talents, and maximizing their contributions to society.

5 Intended Market ●Diverse populations of clients which include the disabled and non-disabled persons who can benefit from the services provided by the organization. ●Adults, male or female, who range in age from 18 years or older. ●Based on individual need

6 1.To enrich the lives of clients in learning life skills, such as, being able to understand laws and regulations. 2.Provide education and job training programs to make clients more employable. 3. Provide recreational activities to include performing arts and participatory musical events. “ Great nonprofits see volunteers as much more than a source of free labor or membership dues. They create meaningful ways to engage individuals in emotional experiences that help them connect to the group's mission and core values” (Crutchfield & Grant, 2012, p.26). 9 Organizational Structure Rules Rules (Miller, 2015) Profits can not be distributed to the owners. Bylaws need to be created to elect directors, hold meetings, and appoint officers. Establish the organization’s operating agenda.

10 Organizational Structure Distribution of Work Distribution of Work Work will be distributed according to workers job descriptions. Everyone within the organization will be held accountable for their roles in upholding the values and beliefs of the organization. Hallowell (2011) stated, “Match what a person is good at and likes to do with what adds value to the organization and encourages hard work” (p.45)
