$20 Harbor Freight vice with MM bending jig Also holds blocks for tapping 9/15/20144Dallas BEST 2014 Build Session jigs Highlights: Cheaper and easier to mount to wood base than Lowes version. Hinge and wood block face. Enhancement: Front face needs sharper angle to get to full 90 degree bends.

Drill jig, top view Highlights: ¼” McMaster knob with T-nut Holds Al block on edge for set- screw hole Holds Al bent plate to hold 2” block on flat for axle and mounting holes Both edge and flat are at same plane Step drill for 3/8” mounting holes, and ¼” axle hole + chamfer Knob is much faster, lighter, easier than previous C-clamp or C-clamp-vice-grip 9/15/20145Dallas BEST 2014 Build Session jigs

Chop Saw jig for 2x12” aluminum Highlights: Screws to back fence Wood depth stop block on right top 2x ¼” t-nut and knobs hold each side firmly Vertical orientation creates minimal drag on saw. Use Freud 80-100 tooth Al-cutting blade. Planned enhancement: Additional holder for cutting ½” or ¼” Al rods. 9/15/20147Dallas BEST 2014 Build Session jigs

Al 6x6” jig Highlights: Salvages previous years 6x6 flats into 2x6 flats for practice and demo hubs Screws to back fence of saw Lever clamp holds small end (should have used 2x knobs like previous jig) Angle minimizes thickness being cut at one time, = minimal drag on saw, much better than cutting into flat. 9/15/20148Dallas BEST 2014 Build Session jigs
