4 4 Overview Objective of the RFP: Identify experienced and qualified organization(s) to act as a WIOA Youth Program Operator in Santa Barbara County. Contracts will be funded through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act and managed by the Workforce Development Board. General Information North CountySouth County LocationSanta Maria preferred; Lompoc satellite Santa Barbara preferred; Carpinteria satellite Contract Term2.75 years (Oct. 1, 2016- June 30, 2019) Contract Budget$1,112,463$910,195

5 5 Eligible Applicants Eligible Organizations: Applicants must have at least three (3) years of experience providing related services. Consortiums may apply with a lead agency identified. Private and public, secondary or post-secondary education institutions Faith based organizations For-profit and not-for-profit agencies Community Based Organizations (CBOs) Other legally established entities

8 8 Overview Work Experience includes both paid and unpaid opportunities to perform job duties onsite under the direction of an employer. Examples of work experience include: summer employment opportunities, pre-apprenticeship programs, internships, job shadowing, and on the job training opportunities. Contractor(s) will be expected to spend a third of their budget on work experience. Scope of Work – Work Experience

11 11 Overview Proposals are due no later than 5:00 P.M. on May 27, 2016. 13 Selection Process 13 Independent evaluators will score proposals in each of the four competitions. Bidder Presentations & Workforce Development Board Approval Save the Date: July 15, 2016 Contracts will go before the County Board of Supervisors for execution in September
