3 Themes this Parliament  Build, Build, Build  Housing for choice and affordability as well as national economic growth  More flexibility between types of homes: rental/Home Ownership/Shared Ownership  Active intervention to unlock supply chain  Planning reform  Identification of brownfield and other land priorities  Commitment to bring forward public land and grant funding  Areas of Focus: Training, skills, Offsite manufacturing, SME  Changing roles:  Between local and national government: devolution, municipal enablers  Government active oversight and intervention where there is a failure of the market or to a need to rebuild or develop markets (incl. planning/ homes)  Better use of resources: regeneration and effective asset management 3
