Locus of Control Internal locus of control: the perception that you are in control of your environment and your experiences. External locus of control: the perception that forces outside of your control determine your fate and your experiences

Learned Helplessness When we learn that we have no influence on a situation because previous experiences have showed that we do not have control in that specific situation – we might generalize that feeling to more than that specific instance
