Sarvanam (सर्वनाम) (Pronoun) is usually used to replace Sangya (Noun). Sarvanam are generally short words, which are primarily used to make sentences simple and short.

In Devanagri script or Hindi sentences, sarvanam is categorized into six parts: 1. Purush Vachak Sarvanam (पुरुष वाचक सर्वनाम) (Personal Pronoun): It is used to replace noun that represents people. Purush vachak sarvanam is divided into three forms including First Person (उत्तम पुरुषUttam Purush), Second Person (मध्यम पुरुषMadhyam Purush) and Third Person (अन्य पुरुषUnya Purush). (For eg: Mein (मै), Mera (मेरा), Hum (हम), Humara (हमारा) comes under first person (उत्तम पुरुष), Tum (तुम), Tumne (तुमने), Tera (तेरा), Tumhara (तुम्हारा), Aap (आप) comes under second person (मध्यम पुरुष) and Woh (वोह), Uska (उसका) comes under Third Person (अन्य पुरुष) 2. Nischay Vachak Sarvanam (निश्चय वाचक सर्वनाम) (Demonstrative Pronoun): It is used to indicate a specific thing or things and a person or persons. (For eg: Yeh (यह), Woh (वोह) and Ye (ये) 3. Anischay Vachak Sarvanam (अनिश्चय वाचक सर्वनाम) (Indefinite Pronoun): It refers to general things and people. Anischay vachak sarvanaam generally communicates the ideas of all, anyone, few, many, nobody, some, everybody or none. (For eg: Koi (कोई), Sab log (सब लोग), Kuch (कुछ), Sab Kuch (सब कुछ) or Kuch Bhi (कुछ भी) 4. Sambandh Vachak Sarvanam (सम्बन्ध वाचक सर्वनाम) (Relative Pronoun): It is used to relate words, people and things in a sentence. (For eg: Jo (जो), Jiski (जिसकी) or Jaisa (जैसा) 5. Prashna Vachak Sarvanam (प्रश्न वाचक सर्वनाम) (Interrogative Pronoun): It is usually used to ask questions about people or things in the sentence. (For eg: Kaun (कौन), Kisko (किसको) or Kya (क्या) 6. Nijvachak Sarvanam (निजवाचक सर्वनाम) (Reflexive Pronoun): It is used in a sentence to convey ourselves, itself, yourselves, herself, himself or myself. (For eg: Mai Apne Aap Se ker Lunga (मै अपने आप से कर लूंगा)

Verbs are a class of words used to show the performance of an action (do, throw, run), existence (be), possession (have), or state (know, love) of a subject. To put it simply a verb shows what something or someone does.

Every single Hindi verb in it’s infinitive form ends with ना naa

काल (Kaal) or Tenses Most statements in speech and writing have a main verb. These verbs are expressed in tenses which place everything in a point in time. Kaal(काल) or Tenses in Hindi give us idea about the time at which the action took place. “I play”, “I am playing”, “I played” and “I will play” are sentences in different tenses. We’ll learn about three simple tenses(kaal) or time periods in Hindi which can be further divided into more catagories:

For feminine gender: For masculine gender: Past Tense The simple past tense is used to talk about finished actions that happened at a specific time in the past. The root of the verb takes the sound of -aa (आ) at the end for the first person pronouns of masculine gender. The root of the verb takes the sound of -ee (ई) at the end for the first person pronouns of feminine gender. Gender : Masculine Gender: Feminine मैं उठा main uthaa I woke up/stood up मैं चला main chalaa I walked मैं गया main gayaa I went मैं बोला main bolaa I spoke मैं बैठा main baithaa I sat मैं उठी main uthee I woke up मैं चली main chalee I walked मैं गई main gayee I went मैं बोली main bolee I spoke मैं बैठी main baithee I sat

The root of the verb takes the sound of -gee (गी) at the end for the first person pronouns of feminine gender.
