3 HAVE A READ Pre-reading Here is the poem by Su Shi that was discussed in the experimental session mentioned in the article. Read it and talk about your understanding of it. Ten years, dead and living, we’d been set apart. I don’t try to remember, but forgetting is hard. Lonely grave a thousand miles off; Cold thoughts, where can I talk them out? Even if we met, you wouldn’t know me— Dust on my face; hair like frost ( 霜冻 ). In a dream last night, suddenly I was home. By the window of the little room, You were combing your hair and making up. You turned and looked, not speaking; Only lines of tears coursing down. Year after year, will it break my heart?— The moonlit grave; The stubby ( 矮壮的 ) pines. ■ Translated by Burton Watson

What do you think schools can do to help students learn about dating and romance? Question for further discussion: Hints: After reading Lessons or lectures are expected, I suppose, but these public discussions may only teach students some general knowledge about dating and romance. Therefore, I think schools can employ or regularly invite some counselors or psychological experts. When students have something that has confused them about dating and romance—among other issues, they can arrange a talk with these counselors or experts. The sessions are more private, but they are also more effective. 15
