Higher income voters tend to be republican. People with lower income vote for Democratic Income

Younger voters have been more likely to be Democrats than Republicans The 26 th Amendment declares the minimum age for voting in any election at more than 18. Age

Registration This is a procedure of voter identification intended to prevent fraudulent voting. Gives election officials a list of those persons who are qualified to vote in an election

Non-Voters Non voters are sometimes ill or physical disabled. Some are in Prisons or cannot vote because of religious beliefs. At least ten million are resident alien. Non voters tend to be younger than thirty, unmarried, or unskilled.

Political Socialization Political socialization involves all of the experiences and relationships that lead people to see the political world and to act in it as they do.

Apathy Voting is a religious act, each citizen must come to believe that despite the thousands of elections that are not decided by one vote, his or her vote does not make a difference. It is that faith that needs to be restored
