2
About Krypton Its symbol is Kr. Atomic Number: 36 Atomic Weight: 83.798 Derived from the Greek word kryptos, or “hidden.”

Physical and Chemical Properties Melting Point: 115.79 Kelvin (-157.36 Celsius or -251.25 Fahrenheit). Boiling Point: 119.93 Kelvin (-153.36 Celsius or -243.80 Fahrenheit). Density: 0.003733 g/cm cubed. Krypton’s Atomic Structure is very stable. It has just enough electrons to fill its outer shell, so it doesn’t tend to combine with other elements. Krypton is odorless and colorless. Krypton is non-corrosive. Krypton is non-flammable but it can possibly explode if combined with certain elements. Krypton is non-toxic

The History Discovered on May 30, 1898 by Sir William Ramsey, a Scottish chemist, and Morris M. Travers, an English chemist. Was stumbled upon when the two were studying liquefied air. Past uses include filling lava lamps, and neon signs.
5
Modern Uses Today the same things Krypton was being used for in the past still exist as well as the modern use of flashes in photography. Krypton-85 can be used to detect secret nuclear weapons research and facilities which may produce such weapons. It also has medical uses in MRI technology.

Interesting Facts The element Krypton inspired the home name and the weakness of a famous superhero……. BATMAN!!! I’m kidding it’s SUPERMAN!!! Nothing stops Batman.
7
Interesting Facts Cont. Krypton lasers can produce massive pulses much larger than the U.S.’s entire electrical grid. These pulses only last four billionths of a second. Krypton can become a solid white crystal if the conditions are correct. It is unreactive except with fluorine. Costs $33 per 100mg
