Action tags are placed in the Field Annotation or Field Comments location and performs a particular action when the field is displayed on a data entry form or survey.  @TODAY – Automatically provides the user's current date as the value of a Text when the page is loaded. Once the value is captured, it will not be changed when visiting the page at a later time. If the field has validation, the value will conform to the date/time format of the field.  @NOW - Automatically provides the user's current time as the value of a Text when the page is loaded. Once the value is captured, it will not be changed when visiting the page at a later time. If the field has validation, the value will conform to the date/time format of the field.  @LATITUDE & @LONGITUDE - Allows a Text field to capture the latitude or longitude of the user, in which the user will be prompted on the webpage to allow or deny this. 7.  Embedded videos/audios – can now be placed in descriptive fields. Place the video/audio URL in the field and it will be displayed inline on the page (or hidden and displayed after clicking a button).  Autocomplete for dropdowns – allows for easy data entry by typing in the first few letters of the choice. (Great for long lists!)  New HTML tags - (,,,, )  Data Import – allows blank values to overwrite data.  API Playground - is an interface that allows experimentation with the REDCap API without actually writing any code. 2/23/16

8.  Biomedical Ontology Dictionaries - can now search a biomedical ontology such as RxNorm, ICD9, ICD10, Snomed CT, LOINC and populate the field. 2/23/16 Uses the BioPortal service from http://bioportal.bioontology.org

9.  Codebook now has links to edit the field or edit the branching logic of the field.  Checkboxes and radios can now be selected by clicking on the label text for data entry and surveys. 2/23/16
