The principles of rheology has a wide application in the formation and analysis of pharmaceutical products as emulsions, pastes, suppositories and tablet coating etc. In pharmaceutical manufacturing operations: Stirring of materials Packaging of materials into the containers Flow of emulsion through colloidal mill Trituration of suspension in mortar and pestle Flow of powder from hoppers into the die cavity

Rheologic properties involve in the mechanical properties of the following properties – Strength and toughness of the bottles Deformability of the rubber stoppers Flexibility of tubes used in catheters Strength of sutures and ligatures
