www.uthm.edu.my Outcomes

www.uthm.edu.my Outcomes PLO 1 - Engineering Knowledge (KPT 1: Knowledge - K) Apply knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals and an engineering specialisation to the solution of complex problems. PLO 2 - Modern Tool Usage (KPT2: Practical Skill - PS) Create, select and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools, including prediction and modelling, to complex engineering activities, with an understanding of the limitations.

www.uthm.edu.my Outcomes PLO 5 - Individual and Team Work (KPT5: Team Work -TS) Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams and in multi-disciplinary settings. PLO 4 – Investigation (KPT4: Critical Thinking, Problem Solving - CTPS) Conduct investigation into complex problems using research based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of information to provide valid conclusions. PLO 3 – Communication (KPT3: Communication - CS) Communicate effectively on complex engineering activities with the engineering community and with society at large, such as being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations, and give and receive clear instructions.

www.uthm.edu.my Outcomes PLO 6 - Life Long Learning (KPT6: Life Learning and Information Management - LLL) Recognise the need for, and have the preparation and ability to engage in independent and life-long learning in the broadest context of technological change. PLO 7 – Entrepreneurship (KPT7: Enterpreneurship - ES) Recognize the importance of entrepreneurship in mechanical engineering and its related discipline. PLO 8 – Ethics (KPT8: Moral, Professional and Ethics - EMP) Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of engineering practice.

www.uthm.edu.my Outcomes PLO 9 - Project Management and Finance (KPT9: Leadership - LS) Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of engineering and management principles and apply these to one’s own work, as a member and leader in a team, to manage projects and in multidisciplinary environments. PLO 10 - Design/Development of Solutions (EAC 3: Design) Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design systems, components or processes that meet specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.

www.uthm.edu.my Outcomes PLO 11 - Problem Analysis (EAC 4: Analisis) Identify, formulate, research literature and analyse complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences and engineering sciences. PLO 12 - Environment and Sustainability (EAC 7: Sustainable) Recognize the importance of entrepreneurship in mechanical engineering and its related discipline. PLO 13 - The Engineer and Society (EAC 6: Jurutera dan Masyarakat) Apply reasoning informed by contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to professional engineering practice.

www.uthm.edu.my Outcomes Generate knowledge of mathematical and statistical to solve typical problems related to industrial engineering. (C5, LO1) Apply the industrial engineering concept in improving the system based on case study given. (C3, LO11) Communicate effectively in solving problems related to given group project. (P4, LO3)
