PRESENT SIMPLE F REQUENCY ADVERBS - POSITION The frequency adverb goes before all verbs except verb to be: Monday always comes after Sunday Maria is always late. Maria always arrive late.

PRESENT SIMPLE TIME PHRASES We can use other time phrases to say HOW OFTEN something happens. On Mondays he goes to the chess class. I have dance lessons every week. Time phrases can come at the beginning or at the end of the sentence.

PRESENT SIMPLE AND CONTINUOUS Present SimplePresent Continuous Use the present simple to describe: Habits and routines Things we do often, every day, every week, etc. Things that always happen. We generally use these verbs with the present simple (state verbs), not the present continuous: cost – like – know – understand – believe – want – hate –prefer – remember - forget Permanent situations: Joe lives in New York (New York is his home. He lives there all the time.) Use the present continuous to describe: Things that are happening now/at the moment. Things that are happening around now. Temporary situations: Joe is living near the station at the moment. We want to move to another house soon.
