Napoleon Rules Plebiscite (vote of people) approves Napoleon’s constitution New Laws – Fair taxes, national bank, no corruption in govt, lycees, supported the Church, Napoleonic Code Dec. 2, 1804- Napoleon crowns himself Emperor – With the vote of the people

Napoleon vs. Britain Battle of Trafalgar (1805) – Off coast of Spain – Adm. Nelson (G.B.) once again beats Napoleon Split the French ships – No France in Britain – Britain naval power now
