Seoul , Korea Spring Break Travel Budget By Bryan Ge We Are COMING!!!

FLIGHT Round Trip Cost: $1078 per Person The flight from Vancouver to Seoul are extremely expensive during summer, so it is hard to get cheap flight. The cheapest flight I found is the one on the left hand side. Both outbound flight and return flight have one stop in Seattle. Although we have to wait in the airport in Seattle for very long time, my friends and I all agreed with this flight because of its ideal price. The outbound flight is on July 20, and the return flight is on July 27, so we will be staying in Seoul for seven days in total.

TRAVEL INSURANCE I searched up travel insurance in Seoul on the internet and found a website that sells travel insurance, which is the one above. The insurance is $100.24 per person for the whole trip. The travel insurance includes the things I listed below: Emergency Out of Province Medical Expenses Emergency Medical Transportation/Additional Expenses Trip Cancellation Trip Interruption Costs Luggage & Personal Effects Sporting Equipment Coverage Travel Accidents Coverage

HOTEL The three (me, Leo, Matthew) of us will be staying in Korean for six nights in total, and we will be living in Matthew’s grandparents’ house. We made this decision because this way, we don’t need to spend any money for hotel, which is very expensive. Of course, Matthew’s grandparents agreed with that. The photo on the right side is a picture of Mattew’s grandparents’ apartment. Cost: $0 per Person Apartment of Jimi’s Grandparents

Local Transportation There are many types of local transportation in Seoul, including bus, taxi and subway. We decided to ride either bus or subway because the price is more ideal. The table below shows the price of the transportation in Seoul. 8 + SHOPPING There is many places for shopping in Seoul, such as Myeong-dong, Donddaemun Market, Times Square, etc. The cost for this will be individual cost, each person will bring as much as they want. I’m planning to bring $300, which is around 265995 won (money used in Korea) Cost: $300 Seoul Yangnyeong Market Dongdaemun Market Myeong-dong Times Square Itaewon

Total Costs Flight: $1078 Travel Insurance: $100 Hotel: $0 Local Transportation: $50 Food: $160 Excursions: $60 Shopping: 200$ Other (for emergency use): 200$ Total: $1848

I get $50 each month from my mother. If I save $30 each month, I can save $960 until I graduate from high school. Also, I’m going to do part-time job during summer to earn money for the trip. Part-Time Jobs: 1.Babysitter ($12/Hour) 2.Dish Washer ($12/Hour) 3.Car Washer ($12/Hour) I personally like jobs with kids, so I think babysitter is a ideal job for me. Since all three jobs are $12 per hour and I need to earn $900 more. This means that I need to work for 75 hours during free time. Save Money Babysitting My Plan Since school is very busy, I’m going to work on the weekend or during long breaks. I’m going do one hour babysitting on every Sunday, so I will earn around $12 every week. In total, I’ll need to work for 75 weeks before I graduate from high school. Save Pocket Money: $960 Babysitter: $900 Total: $1860
