The Future of CSR ‘Business as usual’ Minority of companies use existing CSR tools (Global Compact, OECD Guidelines, GRI, etc.) ISO 26000 joins list & extends uptake. Private company specific tools develop further. Issues of credibility, monitoring, free riders, consistency increase. Pressures for regulation rise. State based systems emerge. Increased coherence Government supported action to promote greater coherence between leading instruments Public agencies and public owned companies use ISO,OECD, GC and GRI Increased consistency and profile leads to higher levels of uptake. EU or UN organisations assume responsibility for defining global CSR standards and reporting mechanisms.
