1. Year 7 Exam In year 7 you will do a ‘Design’ exam which will include elements of Art, Resistant Materials and Textiles. The exam is based on your knowledge of these design areas and what you have learnt throughout the year.

2. Questions that are often asked: Q. What will be covered on the paper? A. Drawing Skills, Art Keywords and Annotation, Analysis, Designing, Evaluating Q. How do we revise? A.You will have a booklet that you will be expected to print off that should be completed before the exam. Q. Why must we complete the booklet? A. The booklet contains example questions and the REAL Design task question that will appear on the exam. You will be expected to research the question and practise initial ideas before you enter the exam.

3. Revision with a difference! The exam preparation booklet is set out like the exam. This will prepare you for what to expect when you enter the exam. Firstly the front page gives you information on the equipment you need to bring to the exam and use in the exam preparation. Secondly this page gives you information on the questions and how to answer the question. 5. Unlike a lot of exams you are allowed to know the Design question before the exam so that you can research your own ideas and practise the drawings before the exams.
