Entertainment Some very famous alternative rock got their start in the 90’s for example bands like Green Day, Weezer, and The Smashing Pumpkins. Britney Spears got her start in the 90’s with the hit “... Baby One More Time”. Pearl Jam, Nirvana, and Metallica made their debut in the 90’s. Rap music was extremely popular in the 90’s with some of the most influential artist like 2pac, The Notorious B.I.G, Eazy-E, N.W.A, Wu- Tang Clan, and Nas. 90's hits playlist Movies: The 90’s was home to many great movies like Clueless, Seven, Toy Story, Boyz n the Hood, Forrest Gump, Scream, The Shawshank Redemption, Juice, Friday, and Dazed and Confused. Music: Television Shows: The 90’s have given us many shows that are now considered classics such as Saved by the Bell, Family Matters, Full House, Friends, The X-Files, Boy Meets World, Dawson's Creek, and The Amanda Show

Fashion and Fads Food and Beverages: Popular foods were Butterfinger BB’s, 3-D Doritos, The Wonder Ball, Gushers, Ouch Bubble Gum, Reptar Crunch, Oreo O’s. Popular drinks were Orbitz, Squeeze It, Crystal Pepsi, Water Joe, Fruitopia. Slang: Slang from the 90’s included ● Wiggin’ ● Srub ● Ice ● Buggin’ ● Hella ● Hey Fats ● As If! ● Dip Clothing: Clothing in the 90’s varied from grunge to very bright colors. Clothes were also very baggy. Keds, Air jordans, Doc Martens, and Timberland Boots were very popular. Skate tees like Thrasher, Toy Machine, SpitFire, Alien WorkShops were also very popular. They also wore very bright wind breakers. Overalls were also very popular to wear. A brand of shirt that was very popular was the Generra Hypercolor tees because when you would touch the shirt it would change colors. Plaid mini skirts and crop tops were big because of the movie Clueless. Trends

Sports The 1990s in the NBA is known as the golden age of NBA because that is when there was the most talent in the NBA. Micheal Jordan is arguably the G.O.A.T of basketball, himself and his Chicago Bulls team won 6 championships in the 1990s.
