4 What is Swachta Abhiyan? An Individual should ensure:  He devotes minimum 2 hours in a week.  He should ensure that neither he will litter nor let others litter.  He will initiate the quest for cleanliness with himself, his family, his locality, his village and his work place.

8 Copyrights @ 2014 BJP Delhi Swachata Committee, All Rights Reserved Spend 2 hrs on own house & building (Min. once in a month)  Making arrangements for cleaning of water tanks, coolers, shelves, bathrooms, kitchens, shoe racks, newspaper rack etc.  Weeding out the old material, old cosmetics, old stationery and books, old decorative pieces, old medicines, old electronic items, damaged photos and idols, old toys etc.  Identifying the repairing jobs, water droppings, water leakage, putting sufficient number of dustbins in and around building, cleaning of roofs, balconies, sun shades, etc.

10 Copyrights @ 2014 BJP Delhi Swachata Committee, All Rights Reserved  Make a group of local residents and connect with them through whatsapp group or facebook page or sms or phone etc.  Do intimate the local councilor, MLA or other local leaders whenever you do work under Swachata Abhiyaan, request them to accompany you.  Take four Safai Karamchari with you. Instead of depending on government help, take them at the expense of the local mohalla sabha/ RWA.  Keep a pen and pencil and keep on writing wherever you notice any problem like damaged road, damaged water pipe or pile of garbage and share it with authorities. Spend 2 hrs in local Mohalla (Min. once in a month)

If required, help them in cleaning that area one time and request them not to make it dirty in future.  Whenever you are organizing some event in your area or somebody else is organizing the same, do ensure that enough dustbins are arranged and area is cleaned after the event. It is a collective responsibility.  Try to convert your back streets to Eco friendly & Green blocks by putting some plants there.  Regular inspection to ensure cleanliness is maintained in your area. 13 Copyrights @ 2014 BJP Delhi Swachata Committee, All Rights Reserved Spend 2 hrs in your factory, office, shop etc. (Min. once in a month)  Identify old stationery, old papers, books, old furniture, unusable computers etc. Instead of selling it off, try if you can give it to some needy people who might be able to use these items.  Keep sufficient dustbins in your commercial establishment and don’t forget to keep one in toilet.  Do shopping for room freshener and toilet freshener. This helps in keeping the area fresh and hygienic.  Get the regular maintenance done for toilets.

It will help in keeping the market clean.  Put posters and educate people to throw garbage in the dustbin only.

Observe the roads, pavements, grills, etc. and make a note where ever repairs are required. Take notice of encroachments and inform authorities.  Spend two hours cleaning religious places, charitable medical centers, public places, parks etc and Involve local people in the process.

These students can be called Modi’s Navratan.  Half a day per month to be fixed to clean the school. Students should be involved in these activities.  Each class in the school should have dustbin.  School should have enough toilets for girls and boys separately.

21 Copyrights @ 2014 BJP Delhi Swachata Committee, All Rights Reserved  30,000 people needed to bring awareness in 1.70 crore Delhites.  100 persons per ward. There are 280 wards. Per ward the population is approximately 55000. We need to identify only 100 volunteers out of 55000.  These volunteers can be identified with the help of local MP or MLA or councilor or RWAs etc.  9 Navratans per booth will be needed to train these 100 volunteers and these 100 volunteers will help in forming 2800 booth level Swachata Samitis. Workshop and seminars will be needed to train these 2800 Samitis.  For effective execution students, NGOs, RWAs etc to be involved  Any support required, will be provided by Delhi State Swachata Committee.
