2 Objectives :  REVIEW and analyze effectiveness of culturally based teaching strategies implemented since Session 4.  EVALUATE linguistic elements specific to foreign language of study (phonology, morphology, syntax, and semantics).  RECOGNIZE the changing nature of language and the accompanying changes necessary for teaching the foreign language.  IDENTIFY key differences in the varieties of expression of the foreign language in culture, vocabulary, and customs.  INVESTIGATE the use of technology to increase cultural exposure and understanding (for teacher and students).

12 Incorporating Technology What is your unique technology situation at school? How can you use the websites in Handouts 5.7 & 5.8? What are the barriers to your using the technology presented in the handouts? How can you overcome these barriers?

16 Homework Bring Print out of Handout 6.1 or save to your laptop from www.tfrresources.org with data from the first administration of the Diagnostic Assessment recorded.www.tfrresources.org Finish filling out Handout 3.12 (one for each student) and transfer data to Handout 6.1
