Jeffrey Johnston Stand Up for All Students Act Florida State Statute 1006.147 was signed into law on June 10, 2008 Requires all school districts in the state of Florida to adopt a policy prohibiting bullying and harassment of students and staff on school grounds, school-sponsored events, and through school computer networks.

6. Teasing and Social Exclusion Teasing: Making fun of someone playfully or unkindly. Social Exclusion: Purposely leaving someone out of “the group”. Eww.. 7. Public Humiliation Gossiping and spreading rumors are forms of public humiliation. (This includes text messages and e-mails) If you don’t have anything nice to say, DON’T SAY ANYTHING AT ALL

8. Physical Violence, Intimidation & Threats You can not threaten to harm anyone. You can not “pass on” threats to anyone. You can not touch or strike another person against their will. This includes punching, pushing, shoving and smacking. “Better watch your back” He’s gonna get you on the bus ramp… You look at me again and it’ll be the last thing you do…

10. If you see bullying… Do not laugh or join in Stand by your friends Speak up for the other kid Tell a teacher or staff member Reach out – be a friend If you don’t speak up, you are helping the bully!

If you think you are being bullied… You need to tell someone… The school can’t help you if we don’t know what is going on… If you feel one adult hasn’t been able to help solve the problem, tell another or go to your school’s Student Services or Guidance Counselor. Together we can change what is happening!
