ANSWER – The narrator learned about the conditions of India and how they relate to the US and other countries. CENTRAL IDEA – The text was about a woman and her friendly relationship with an alligator. SUPPORTING DETAILS – Aunt Belle taught the alligator to jump in the water and bellow at her command. – Aunt Belle and the alligator had a relationship for a very long time until she was real old. – The alligator eventually stopped coming to the pond to meet Aunt Belle and she stopped going, as well. THE ANSWER – The text was about a woman and her friendly relationship with an alligator. Aunt Belle taught the alligator to jump in the water and bellow at her command.
