YAG means…??? YAG (yttrium aluminum garnet) lasers are one of the most common types of solid-state laser, and are used for myriad applications. The laser we use for YAG laser marking produces a 1064nm wavelength, making it ideal for absorption by most metals and some plastics. YAG lasers are often used for medical procedures, such as cataract surgery.

Nd:YAG Laser Nd:YAG is usually used in monocrystalline form, fabricated with the Czochralski growth method, but there is also ceramic. Nd:YAG available in high quality and in large sizes. For both monocrystalline and ceramic Nd:YAG, absorption and scattering losses within the length of a laser crystal are normally negligible, even for relatively long crystals.

Er:YAG Laser Er:YAG lasers generally emit light within a wavelength of 2940 nm, which is considered infrared light. Er:YAG lasers are commonly used for laser skin resurfacing, treating acne scarring, wart removal along with oral surgery, dental treatments and otolaryngology. This specific type of laser has the diverse ability to perforate bone as well as soft tissue.
