Objectives for this session Measure your club’s engagement Perform a SWOT analysis ― Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats Assess member abilities Make your club healthier and stronger

Tip #1 Measure member satisfaction by performing a SWOT analysis of your club: 1.Strengths ― Identify what your club and members do well 2.Weaknesses ― Identify what your club does not do well

Tip #1 continued 3. Opportunities ― Identify areas in which your club and members can improve 4. Threats ― Identify what internal and external threats there are to the health and longevity of your club

Tip #2 Survey member satisfaction bi-annually: Gather information to help your club better serve its members Clarify and discuss what members expect from their club Improve the club experience based on member input

Tip #2 continued Interview members individually to give them an opportunity to speak honestly about their opinions Use a satisfaction survey to allow everyone a voice in the club Conduct an open forum or town hall meeting to explore new ideas

Tip #3 Perform a Community Analysis: Are your club’s service projects meeting the needs of your community? Is your club visible and viewed as an asset in your community? Do your club’s fundraisers meet the needs of your community?

Tip #4 Promote The Formula The Formula is all members loving, sharing and living their Kiwanis experience. Make your club more relevant and impactful for members when you:

Tip #4 continued Host a membership event for your club. Make your membership stronger by inviting engaged and committed members. Contact The Formula team in your division and work with a club opener to open a new club in or near your area

Tip #5 Start a new service project for your club. Service projects: Brand the club’s identity Offer clarity to potential members and organizations Guide members and leaders in making decisions

Tip #6 Establish succession planning for your club to: Build members’ confidence to accept leadership positions Develop quality club and division leaders Create a trained, prepared, knowledgeable leadership pipeline

Tip #7 Review your club’s marketing plan: Update your club website Introduce social media to your club. Start a Facebook page, Twitter account or What’s App chat line Review and apply basic marketing principles Add some pizazz to your marketing!
