8. Student Handbook Issues Senate collaborated extensively with DOSO through meetings and student forums. New Wording: “An application otherwise consistent with Rensselaer policies but submitted less than seven (7) days in advance will be considered by the Dean of Students if he/she can reasonably assure student safety and safeguard the interests of all members of the Rensselaer community.”

9. Student Handbook Issues (2) Spring 2011 Senate will approach new off-campus issues with DOSO and the Institute and consider Handbook changes. Any proposed changes should remain collaborative and end with general student consent.

Student Panel Discussion Purpose: To create an open dialogue between Trustees and students Structure: Five guests that represent a diverse cross-cut of campus will answer questions from the committee about student life.
