3 3 S KI -A KADEMIE S CHLADMING COLLEGE FOR HIGHER VOCATIONAL EDUCATION (BHS) - Commercial Academy Professional training in alpine- skiing, snowboarding, cross- country skiing and biathlon is added to commercial qualifications 5 to 6 hours lessons and 2 to 3 hours training

4 4 S ETTING 1st grade class 30 students (13 to 14 yrs) 9 groups 10 surface tablets provided by school BYO smartphones and laptops

5 5 C OLLABORATION Task Create eBooks about different topics of globalisation by using laptops, tablets and smartphones The (learning) story: organize groups – choose topic (mobile phone, chocolate, jeans or oil) – find information and “map” it – get teachers remarks on the content and structure – write texts for the eBook – design the eBook and add questions – present the eBook before the class – assess others eBooks

(teacher, students of the group, students of the class) -Teacher is ultimately responsible for the grade -Difficult: assessment for group work – in case you have a lot of groups or some work has to be done outside school -Where is the focus: on the outcome or the working process -hundreds of concepts online

16 16 C OLLABORATION AND MOBILE DEVICES - REMARKS Mobile devices are very helpful in the collaboration process and work Students can get more information from different sources They give students more possibilities to present their work – and to rise creativity Teaching and learning can make more fun For Collaboration projects in the classroom you normally need a lot of time

17 17 A SSESSMENT AND M OBILE D EVICES - REMAKRS I didn‘t use apps/tools for assessment but for self-assessment padlet seems to be a good tool at lms.at one can assess the work by giving points and remarks
