3 BUILDING CHARACTER & COMMUNITY St. Paul Blackhawks Soccer builds character in our soccer players and strengthens our community. Our mission is to develop highly skilled, respectful, competitive soccer players— from Little Hawks to adult—who will be contributing members to any community. As a St. Paul-based organization, we embrace our diversity and welcome the different cultures that bring richness to our club and our players' experience.

6 St. Paul Blackhawks uniquely offer a need- based financial aid program to make participation accessible for all kids  Last year, ~10% of Blackhawks’ operating budget supported players with financial need  Financial aid award valuation was $132,000.  169 players received awards; they self-identify as Somali, Ethiopian, Karen, Hmong, Haitian, Cambodian, Vietnamese, Laotian, Mexican, and others.  Fields and facilities are Blackhawks’ primary limiter Annual Concordia field rental equivalent to financial assistance for ~140 participants

7 Blackhawks are a long-term partner >7 year single-tenant lease Blackhawk & SPPR partnership brought Orchard from vacant to vibrant March, 2015 5-year lease renewed Blackhawk >$35k investments include Baseball field removal, irrigation system, new natural turf Gym painting and safety wall / corner padding Community engagement & events National Night Out, Annual Club Picnic & Winter Carnival Our presence in the community has improved area safety & security Developmental team and girls teams festival tournaments
