2July 12th, 2002 S00VISION-20020712-006 WP 8F’s Vision ITU-R WP 8F is charged with the development of a Vision for future development to IMT- 2000 and Systems Beyond The development of this Vision has been the focus of WP 8F’s activity at its recent 8 th meeting (29 May – 5 June) Major deliverable specifying the Vision is scheduled to be completed at the 9 th meeting (27 September – 2 October)

6July 12th, 2002 S00VISION-20020712-006 Current Status of the Vision PDNR At the 8 th meeting there was much discussion over “sensitive” issues, in an attempt to reach consensus –So-called “Van” Diagram –Data Rates –Timeline At the 9 th WP 8F meeting, only proposals of an editorial nature to the PDNR are to be considered (See Att. 3.3 to Doc. 8F/728 – Procedures for Conclusion of Vision PDNR)
