September 18, 2011 was High Attendance Day across the state WCMS had the highest attendance % of middle schools in the 5 th region with 96.32% WCHS had the highest attendance % of high schools in the 5 th region with 96.65%

21 students will start the school year in the Commander Academy. Reduce the number of students that graduate from our program. Ms. Abell and I have been proactive this year in identifying students earlier in the process that are behind on their credits.

1.3 million students dropout from high school each year. Approximately 2,000 high schools produce nearly half of the nation’s dropouts. Over 1/3 of all dropouts are lost in the 9 th grade. Low attendance or a failing grade can identify future dropouts, and in some cases as early as the 6 th grade.
