Employee of the Month Mr. Howard, our new Physics teacher, showed desire and dedication for his profession when he voluntarily switched classes with Mrs. Kite’s sub during advisory so that the students could continue to receive Chemistry instruction while Mrs. Kite had to be away.

Students of the Week SENIOR: Senior Michaela Blair shows responsibility and desire by completing several college applications this week. JUNIOR: Junior Natashia Thio shows kindness everyday with her willingness to help others and a smile. SOPHOMORE: Junior Van Nawl shows an admirable desire to learn in his classes. FRESHMAN: Freshman Shyann Dreibrodt consistently shows respect and kindness while working in collaborative groups.

Campus Tidbits You can not workout in the Midland College gym until you have attended gym training with Mrs. Coleman. Watch the announcements for dates for upcoming Gym training opportunities in the next couple of weeks.

Midland College Presents… An award winning movie about 4 high school students who are the first in their families to pursue a college education. Who can attend: Students and their parents When: This Saturday September 15th Location: MC Carrasco Room located across from the book store Activity: movie & lunch…both are FREE! Length: 10:00am-1:00pm Must sign-up with your college support teacher prior to the event in order to attend!

Intramural Sports Seniors & Juniors are the only students eligible to participate in the MC intramural sports program Flag football is the first sport that MC will host. Must complete an Intramural form & turn it in to Coach Rhoads PRIOR to registering. Registration closes on Wednesday 9-12. Register to play with Ty Soliz, Intramural Sports Coordinator, located in office 101 by the game room in the Student Center.

Juniors Friday October 12 th Jostens will distribute senior ring packets in Room #101 F. Marie Hall @ 3:00pm Friday October 19 th Josten’s will be taking senior ring orders in Room #221 F. Marie Hall 1:00-4:00pm If you haven’t passed your math section of THEA now is the time to be working with a tutor!
