2. ISHRAE & IGBC
ISHRAE (Indian Society of Heating Refrigerating & Air Conditioning Engineers) is an all India body of practicing engineers in the HVAC & R industry and is affiliated to ASHRAE, USA.
The goal of the society is to disseminate information in the arts and science of air conditioning and refrigeration.
ISHRAE Chennai chapter is one of the very active chapters of ISHRAE.
IGBC (Indian Green Building Council)
is partner with ISHRAE in this competition.

3. What is SUSTAIN 2010 ? “SUSTAIN 2010 “ is
A design competition for Architecture students
A technical quiz program for student members of ISHRAE Chennai chapter.
A paper presentation competition for student members of ISHRAE Chennai chapter.

4. The Design competition
Open to Architecture students all around the country.
Tests the designing capabilities of the students based on artistic and aesthetic design and Energy efficient HVAC systems for a
20,000 sq.ft. `Super Market’
The jury will have renowned HVAC consultants, architects and eminent personalities.
The Award Ceremony will be graced by eminent personalities in the city.

5. The Technical Quiz
Open to 600 and odd student members of ISHRAE Chennai Chapter.
Technical quiz on HVAC & Related subjects.
Tests the student’s understanding of the HVAC & R theory and also awareness of the HVAC&R practices.
State level event.

6. Paper presentation competition
Open to 600 and odd student members of ISHRAE Chennai Chapter.
The theme of the competition will be “Green HVAC systems for the future”
State level event.
