2 Introduction of graphene
-Year 2004, University of Manchester -Prof. Andre Geim and Pro. Kostya Noboselov -Extract graphene from ordinary sticky tape which was used to clean graphite stone -Single layer of Carbon that has a hexagonal or honeycomb lattice formation -Extremely thin! -Good thermal conductivity! -High Young’s Modulus! -Great conductor!

3 Structure of Graphene -Allotrope of Carbon
-One atom thick and thinnest and lightest compound knows -Exceptional strength due to Carbon-Carbon Valence bond -Chemical Reactive in every atoms from 2 side

4 Properties -Transparent (one atom thick carbon layer)
-Transmit about 98% of light -Graphene intrinsic thermal conductivity Is high -Graphene doped with other compound such as *Graphene quantum dots (control light by Molecule Engineering)

5 Application -Believe to be next Thermal Interface Material as the scaling of CMOS device causes thermal management issues. -Proposed to be daily display such as touchscreen, LCD and OLED -Sensing application such as biosensors and gas sensors -Very potential to use in RF application due to its high current-carrying density, transconductance and low access resistance

6 Challenges -Method of Graphene production
a. Bottom up (Chemical vapor deposition) can affect the quantity and quality of graphene production b. Top down method (extract from graphite) unable to produce at a large scale High manufacturing start up cost Struggling against other material in the industry, backslash from existing manufacturer.

7 Conclusion Future breakthrough is mass producing graphene and believe will change the future of industry as currently its feature is not fully utilized. Been selected in construction of tennis racquets and biomedical sensing or made of aircrafts due to its physical property but not applied in electronic industry.
