Biology Unit 3 Cell Division Day 1: Tuesday, Sept. 2 Homework: Read CH 9.2 pick one… Cornell Notes Questions Unpacking WS Agenda: Go over Cell Test Results Unit 2 Test Analysis Cell Cycle Discussion and hand sign Activity Mitosis Flashcards Georgia Performance Standards SB1. Students will analyze the nature of the relationships between structures and functions in living cells. a.Explain the role of cell organelles for both prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells, including the cell membrane, in maintaining homeostasis and cell reproduction. SB2. Students will analyze how biological traits are passed on to successive generations. EQ: What are the 4 steps of mitosis?
2
Summative & Formative Assessment Go over summative assessment results for Unit 2 Cell Biology Students Identify incorrect ?’s, where the material was covered, and what they they need to change in order to improve (Test Analysis) Formative: Have students do hand races at end of class to see how fast they can do the stages of mitosis. Differentiation: Homework Choices
