ZOE The Life of GOD Part 18

I John 5 11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life (perpetual ZOE), and this life is in his Son.

3 Kinds of Life BIOS – natural life and is very short and is temporary (plant, animal, body – biography, and biology) PSUCHE – soul, mind, will, & emotions and is immortal (can not cease to exist, can not die) psyche, and psychology ZOE – life of God and is eternal (perpetual, instantly and constantly being renewed). Resides in your spirit.

2 Corinthians 4 10 Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life (ZOE) also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.

II Peter 1 2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,

II Peter 1 3 According as his divine (gk. – Godhead’s) power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life (ZOE) and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: 4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature (gk.- equal partners of the Godhead), having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

II Peter 1 5 And beside this (the great promises), giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; 6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; 7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.

II Peter 1 8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

II Peter 1 9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. 10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:

II Peter 1 11 For thus shall be richly supplied unto you the entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

II Peter 1 12 Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth. 13 Yea, I think it meet, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance;

II Peter 1 Do these things to never fall… 5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue (valor); and to virtue (valor) knowledge; 6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance PATIENCE; and to patience godliness;

Patience The quality that refuses to give up; Unmovable, Established, Rooted, Grounded, Settled Opposite of: Vacillate, Waver, Unstable, Insecure, Easily Unsettled, Unnerved, Confused, Bewildered, Flustered, To Draw Back

Hebrews 6 11 And we desire that every one of you do show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: 12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit (obtain possession of) the promises.

I Corinthians 16 13 Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men (COWBOY UP!!), be strong. PATIENCE: FINDING A WAY TO STAY IN THE FIGHT LONG ENOUGH FOR GOD TO GET YOU THE VICTORY!!

Hebrews 12 1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience (the quality that refuses to give up!) the race that is set before us,

Hebrews 12 2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured (gk. – have fortitude, persevere, cowboy up!) the cross, despising (deem unworthy of your attention) the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Hebrews 12 3 For consider him that endured such contradiction (nasty opposition) of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds (psuche).

Hebrews 12 4 Ye have not yet resisted (gk.- set down troops against) unto blood, striving (gk.- antago ̄ nizomai; antagonize, to cause a problem for with hostility) against sin (settling for less than God’s perfect will).

Psalm 78 5 For he established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children: 6 That the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children:

Psalm 78 7 That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments :

Psalm 78 8 And might not be as their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation; a generation that set not their heart aright, and whose spirit was not stedfast with God. 9 The children of Ephraim, being armed, and carrying bows, turned back in the day of battle.

HOW TO STAY IN THE FIGHT Ps 78:7 That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments:  Remember God’s WORKS (Recalling your past victories) (Recalling your past victories)  Remember God’s WORD (Recalling your Rhema)

Deuteronomy 4 9 Only, take heed to thyself, and watch thy soul exceedingly, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they turn aside from thy heart, all the days of thy life; and thou hast made them known to thy sons, and to thy sons' sons.

Psalms 143 1 Hear my prayer, O LORD, give ear to my supplications (to appeal to a higher authority, to cite or invoke God’s Word): in thy faithfulness answer me, and in thy righteousness.

Psalms 143 2 And enter not into judgment with thy servant: for in thy sight shall no man living be justified. 3 For the enemy hath persecuted my soul; he hath smitten my life down to the ground; he hath made me to dwell in darkness, as those that have been long dead.

Psalms 143 4 Therefore is my spirit overwhelmed within me; my heart within me is desolate. 5 I remember (recount the marked record) the days of old; I meditate (mutter to yourself) on all thy works; I muse (converse with myself out loud) on the work of thy hands.

Numbers 15 37 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 38 Speak unto the children of Israel, and bid them that they make them fringes in the borders of their garments throughout their generations, and that they put upon the fringe of the borders a ribbon of blue:

Numbers 15 39 And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the LORD, and do them ; and that ye seek not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to go a whoring:

Numbers 15 40 That ye may remember, and do all my commandments, and be holy unto your God. 41 I am the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am the LORD your God.

John 6 63 It is the spirit that quickeneth (makes alive); the flesh profiteth nothing: the words (RHEMA) that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life (ZOE). 63 It is the spirit that quickeneth (makes alive); the flesh profiteth nothing: the words (RHEMA) that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life (ZOE).

WRITE DOWN FOUR LESSONS LEARNED WHAT SHOULD I STOP DOING? WHAT SHOULD I START DOING? WHAT SHOULD I CONTINUE DOING?
