38. The Forbidden City in Beijing was the home of the emperors of China for hundreds of years. Today it is one of the world’s most important museums. It was built from 1460 to 1420 in the Ming Dynasty and runs one kilometer from north to south,and three quarters of a kilometer from east to west.
