5 课文中这些语句表达的都是 “ 禁止做某事 ” 。 在本模块中我们学到许多这类语句。下面 我们总结一下: 1 ) No+ v.- ing! 这是一种比较常用的表达方式。如: No smoking! 不许吸烟! No joking! 不要开玩笑!

6 2) 祈使句 否定的祈使句同样可以用来表示 “ 禁 止 ” 。如: Don’t shout. 不要喊叫。 Don’t make any noise. 不要吵闹。 3)You mustn’t… 情态动词 mustn’t 可以表达 “ 禁止 ” 的概 念。

7 如: You mustn’t take photographs of the exhibits in museums. 博物馆中不得给展品拍照。 You mustn’t tell it to anyone. 你决不可以告诉任何人。

8 4 ) You can’t… can’t 可以表示 “ 能力 ” 、 “ 可能性 ” ,也 可以表示 “ 不允许 ” 。因此可以用来制止 某人做某事。如: In most museums you can’t make any noise. 在大多数博物馆里不能吵闹。

37 The Palace Museum

38 The Forbidden City in Beijing was the home of the emperors of China for hundreds of years. Today it is one of the world’s most important museums. It was built from 1460 to 1420 in the Ming Dynasty and runs one kilometer from north to south,and three quarters of a kilometer from east to west.

39 The walls of the Forbidden City are about 10meters high. The roofs are yellow and the buildings and walls are red,so when you see them against a blue sky,it’s a very beautiful sight. About 8,000,000people from all over the world visit it every year. It’s the biggest ancient palace in the world, and it has been a UNESCO World Heritage since 1987. It has a website and you can take a sightseeing tour of the treasure.
