Nationalism A belief or ideology that involves an individual identifying with, or becoming attached to, one’s nation. Feeling loyal or proud of their country, often believe it is better and more important than other countries.

Militarism Belief or desire of a government that a country must maintain a strong military and be prepared to use it aggressively for defense!

Negotiations A dialogue between two or more people or parties, intended to reach an understand or resolve a point of difference.

Diplomacy/Diplomat Diplomacy: The art and practice of conducting negotiations between representatives of groups or states. Diplomat: A person appointed by a state to conduct negotiations with another state or group.

Neutrality The state of not supporting or helping either side in a conflict or disagreement.

Isolationism A national policy of stay out of political or economic relations with other countries

Alliance A pact, coalition or friendship between two or more parties to support each other a reach a common goal

Treaty An international agreement, protocol, covenant, contract, pact or exchange of letters.

Assassination The murder of a prominent person or political figure by a surprise attack, usual for payment or political reasons.

Espionage The act or practice of spying or of using spies to obtain secret information, about another government or a business competitor.

Blockade An act or means of sealing off a place to prevent goods of people from entering or leaving.

Mobilization Act of assembling and making both troops and supplies ready for war.

Ultimatums A final demand or statement of terms, the rejection of which will result in retaliation or a breakdown in relations.
