2.  Android: gStrings Free  Ipad/ Iphone: Pano Tuner  Kindle: Tun-d Free Guitar Tuner  Then download!  *Do not download anything that costs $$

3.  Optimize for…  Orchestra Tuning set for 440 Hz

6.  Play your open string (you may need to play it multiple times)  If the tuner says that it is too high (or #) you need to make it lower (until it is green)  If the tuner says you are too low (or b) you need to make it higher (until it is green)

7.  Keep the phone close to your instrument: ask your stand partner to help you (you won’t have to do this at home)  Play with long, slow bows (bowed strings students)  Play quietly: everyone will be able to hear better (I promise!)
