Scene Work OR Reduced Plays You will have today and tomorrow to work on either: A scene from your play Reduced play as a whole Each scene/play will need to be about four minutes You don’t need to memorize lines. You can have a script (I can photocopy lines for you) or write out a script (I can photocopy for your group) You can act directly from the play or interpret it (change the setting, characters, etc.)

Shakespeare Scene Work Create a script and a master copy to turn in to me with all lines given to group members, stage directions, and annotations Write a short rationale (a paragraph) on how your group is interpreting your scene and why you’re doing it that way Make a visual (promo poster, etc.) for your play – we will hang these on the wall!! Decide and send me your backdrop to put on the smartboard while you act A list of any props you will bring to use Name tags or a way to identify which character is which while you watch Any music or noise you will play during your scene/play A list of who is in charge of what
