5 I will provide the texts. I will create a website for this course and you may download the material from my homepage. Don’t forget to download!!! www.hansung.ac.kr/~laurenhart Also I will create an anthology (a collection of texts). Hopefully it will be ready next week!

6 I will check that you have read the materials by giving a class quiz about the poems in the lesson. The class quiz will be part of your final grade.

7 Your final mark will be from the following: Exams (60% - Mid-term 20%, Final 30% and Class Quiz 10%) Attendance (20%)and Class Participation (20%) Attendance and class participation includes answering and asking questions, using English for discussion and presentations.

8 I will give a quiz for each poem to check your comprehension of the texts. There will be 10 questions for each poem. If you are late you may take the quiz later in my office BUT you will score no higher than 5.

9 In this class, if you miss more than 15 hours of class you will fail this course. I will take attendance EVERY hour of this class. Therefore if you are not present during any of these attendance calls you will lose 1 HOUR. If you are late to attendance by more than 15 minutes you will receive an absence.

10 Activity One Please complete the worksheet about yourself. I would like to know as many things as I can about you. Please bring a small photograph so I can attach it to your worksheet or you can draw yourself! Activity Two In groups, we are going to play a game about me. The winning team wins a little prize!
