2. Background to the Project In response to the recommendations of the ministerial taskforce on health inequalities the Scottish Government has commenced a two year project to increase health care capacity in schools starting in communities that have a high number of vulnerable children & young people.

3. Background to the Project It is proposed to develop an integrated model of effective health care by harnessing existing skills whilst at the same time develop new roles. It is not about more of the same but it’s an opportunity to redesign services that will provide effective health care to children & young people and their families particularly at key transition stages.
