Luke 2:52 And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men Prov 9:10-11 "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy one is understanding.

2 Chron 1:10-12 Give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may lead this people, for who is able to govern this great people of yours?" God said to Solomon, "Since this is your heart's desire and you have not asked for wealth, riches or honor, nor for the death of your enemies, and since you have not asked for a long life but for wisdom and knowledge to

govern my people over whom I have made you king, 12 therefore wisdom and knowledge will be given you. And I will also give you wealth, riches and honor, such as no king who was before you ever had and none after you will have."

Col 1:9 For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding.

James 1:5-8 If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. 6 But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does.

James 3:17-18 But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace- loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Peacemakers who sow in peace raise a harvest of righteousness.

John 21:25 Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.

Theological Insight Historically, Christian scholars have divided God’s revealed truth (Revelation) into two categories, namely: General Revelation Special Revelation

General Revelation General Revelation is what God makes known of Himself through His creation. (i.e. the universe, the human conscience, etc.). General Revelation is limited and one must receive Special Revelation in order to be saved.

General Revelation The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard. Their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world. Ps 19:1-4

General Revelation For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities-his eternal power and divine nature-have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. Rom 1:20

General Revelation Don't be deceived, my dear brothers. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. James 1:16-17

Special Revelation Special Revelation is what God made known in His dealings with the patriarchs, the prophets, people of Israel, Apostles and Jesus Christ. All Scripture is God breathed, infallible and inerrant. The Scriptures are all we need for salvation.

Special Revelation The Scriptures are extremely selective and have a very targeted focus. The Apostle John said there were not enough books in all the world to contain all that Jesus said and did. Theologians refer to this as “heilsgeschichte”, or salvation history. Scripture is “His-story” of redeeming humanity to Himself.

With that in mind, is it possible (the Cosmological Argument demands that..) that everything true (all truth); wisdom, knowledge, principles, “natural laws” etc. are “thumb prints” left behind by the Creator and they are His gifts to be pursued? What do you think?

The following are Tests for Truth: Taught in Scripture Illustrated in Scripture Illustrated in nature Consistent with Scripture Law of Undeniability- A=B, B=C then A=C Law of Unaffirmability- That which is unaffirmable is false Law of Non-contradiction- “There are no absolutes”
