2 This 10-foot tall statue of a lion was carved out of a single piece of coral stone in 1868 by a British soldier who was based at the Signal Station at Gun Hill.

3 Holetown Monument Obelisk monument commemorating the first English landing in Barbados in 1625.

4 Cuban Monument This monument is dedicated to the victims of the 1976 bombing of a Cuban civilian airliner off Barbados

5 3Ws Monument This monument honours 3 great Barbados and West Indian cricketers - Sir Frank Worrell, Sir Clyde Walcott and Sir Everton Weekes

6 Statue of Sir Garfield Sobers Sir Gary, as he is called locally, played cricket for the West Indies from 1952 to 1974. The statue in his honour is located at Kensington Oval.

7 he Barbados Museum of Parliament and the Barbados National Heroes Gallery are housed in the West Wing of the Parliament Buildings in the capital city Bridgetown. Barbados can proudly boast of having the 3rd oldest Parliament in the Commonwealth. Both the lower house (House of Assembly) and the upper house (Senate) still meet weekly in these historic buildings. The Barbados Museum of Parliament was created to guide you through the history of the Parliament in a very interactive way. Be sure to stop in when you are visiting Bridgetown.

8 St. Nicholas Abbey St.Nicholas Abbey, located in the parish of St.Peter, was built in 1658 and is one of only three genuine Jacobean mansions in the Western Hemisphere. Barbados is home to two of these mansions... St.Nicholas Abbey and Drax Hall. Distinguishing features of this magnificent, well-preserved mansion are: curved Dutch gables, chimney stacks and coral stone finials, a Chinese Chippendale staircase and fine antiques and china. A rare 1930s film of sugar plantation life can also be viewed.

9 Cherry Tree Hill Offers a spectacular view of the eastern and northern sections of Barbados at approx. 850 feet above sea-level.
