Start your web browser and type in the following address: http://myportfolio.ucl.ac.uk Introduction to MyPortfolio

The first thing we need to do is log in, so MyPortfolio knows who you are. Log in with your UCL username and password. If you have a password problem - http://myaccount.ucl.ac.uk Introduction to MyPortfolio – first steps

If this is your first visit, you may be asked to enter your First and Last name before you can continue using MyPortfolio. You may not see this screen. Introduction to MyPortfolio – logging in

You are now logged into MyPortfolio. This person is Beau Mont and we will be using them to guide you through MyPortfolio (you can even find them online if you want to be friends). Introduction to MyPortfolio – logged in

To navigate around, use the tabs at the top (Home, Profile, My Portfolio and Groups. We will start with Profile. Introduction to MyPortfolio – navigation

When you start off, your profile will be empty. It will be hard for anyone to find you, or know anything about you. See ‘Set up your profile’ for a full guide on this. Introduction to MyPortfolio – your profile

What am I going to use this for? How much time will I put into this? Do I know enough to get started? That’s it for now! By all means go and log into MyPortfolio and get started, but it’s worth thinking about how you’ll use it, when, where and are you ready to start? Forward thinking - ask yourself
