5. Vocabulary Think of our experiences of language learners. Why do you think you can remember them? I use them often. I think they are fun.

10. Grammar is a meaning system. Students make use of it when they are learning how to learn. So we are teaching grammar in order to help students make meaningful language and not as an end in itself.

15. enjoyment Students don ’ t normally want to learn grammar for the sake of learning it. They want to learn it to help them express themselves. A simple but useful notion, learning is more likely to happen when It is fun/relaxing. Create positive learning environment. Don ’ t force language production.

17. Picture dictation Teacher describes favorite room in the house/flat/school, and the objects in it. When each object is mentioned, pictures are shown with singular and plural objects, e.g some flowers/a pen,etc. (meaning input) Students listen and draw.

18. Ranking discussion Eg. Who can do the most things. Who has got the most things.etc.

19. Memory games E.g look at a picture and remember all the objects on it. They can be things/actions. Students can work in teams and be awarded points based on recall of objects.

21. Guessing games Put students in pairs. A has a listed sentences, eg.I have got … B guess: Have you got … (has got/like/likes/can/Is there … )

22. Interview Interview your favorite writer/pop star/film star. Students form questions and ask /answer.

23. Create some practice activities They must be enjoyable, meaningful. Please give students a reason to use the language. (vocabulary, grammar)

24. summary Grammar is a meaning system. We can help students if we consider context,function,input and enjoyment. Learners need practice to help them use grammar in a meaningful way.
