ASA Volunteering I originally wanted to join the ASA organize because it interested me. When I went to a meeting my friend Linda told me, she forgot to inform me that the meeting was not the organization meeting, but the dance group meeting. After realizing that Linda wanted me join the dance group, I was reluctant, but I did anyway. While volunteering for the ASA I helped them set up for their booth for the multi culture fair, and learned the tribe dance for their group performance.

Kappa Delta Chapters Shamrock Volunteering I volunteered for ten hours in the Kappa Delta Shamrock Flag foot ball tournament. The Flag tournament was a 7 on 7 double elimination tournament. The FYE’s team captain was O and it was generally made up of guys from brown hall. We lost both of our Flag Football games, because we did not know all of the rules. Also our unique individual skills did not transfer well to team. I personally received two penalties, but I did get a tackle.

Relay For Life Car wash I participated in the FYE carwash. For my first hour of committee service I wash and dry cars. It was fun, mostly because I was around Michael, and Garrett. After washing cars for a while me, Michael, and Garrett were told to go hold signs. Holding signs was really boring and I don’t think me, Michael or Garrett brought much interest to the car wash…well Michael did because of his suicide run for food across the street.

Relay For Life Car Wash She told us it was time for us to take the places of the girls who had been holding the sign for hours, mainly because no one to hold signs. I pointed out that me, Michael and Garrett may not attract the type of customer that the girls brought to the car wash. The lady told us to go anyways saying any customer is our kind of customer. Holding signs was really boring and I don’t think me, Michael or Garrett brought much interest to the car wash.

Reflection on Volunteering In the Fall semester, I Volunteer at SL. Mason for my community service. It was a great experience working with children, helping them in subject I remember struggling in. Through that experience I believe I really grew as a person, and I learned how rewarding it feels to volunteer.

Reflection on Volunteering I really enjoyed the experiences while Volunteering for FYE. While the FYE was the first class that required me to do community service, I thought it was a great idea. Community service taught me a few people can really affect their committee for the better. I am planning to do more community service over the summer with my sister, who is also deeply involved in community service around our home.
