3 UNCLASSIFIED 3 3 Overview AirPower over Hampton Roads, Langley Air Force Base's premier open house and air show, is free to the public. This years' show will feature the Thunderbirds, the U.S. Air Force Aerial Demonstration Team, and many more!

4 UNCLASSIFIED Overview The Hampton Roads Metropolitan Medical Strike Team (HRMMST) and VA-1 Disaster Medical Assistance Team (VA1 DMAT) will be providing clinical support to 633d MDG for the 2011 Langley Air Show (Airpower over Hampton Roads) by establishing a Joint Medical Strike Team at the 2011 Air Power Over Hampton Roads.

5 UNCLASSIFIED Objectives 1.Roster, deploy and assemble a joint medical strike team between HRMMST, VA 1 DMAT, and 633d MDG 2.Establish a Base of Operations 3.Provide a safe and secure worksite for the Joint Strike Team

6 UNCLASSIFIED Objectives 4.Provide clinical support to Langley AFB Air Show during operations periods 5.Provide MCI support during any major emergency

8 UNCLASSIFIED 8 8 Operational Periods Operations Period 1 (Fri 5/13 08:00 to 17:00) 0700 - Report to the Staging Officer at Sentara CarePlex parking lot to receive placards and directions to parking area at LAFB Hospital. Team Members to be shuttled from LAFB Hospital to LAFB FD 0700 – Command, General Staff, & to arrive at LAFB FD. 0800 - Team Members Check-In Completed 0815 - Operational and Safety Briefing 0900 - Set up BoO 1700 - 1 st Operations Period Ends

Team Members to be shuttled from LAFB Hospital to LAFB FD 1600 - Team Members Check-In Completed 1615 - Operational and Safety Briefing 1700 - EMS Group A to Clinical Operations EMS Group B to Training (LAFD Training Room) EMS Group C to Clinical Operations 2000 - EMS Group A & EMS B Group switch roles 2300 - Demobilization and cache rehab 2400 - 2 nd Operations Period Ends

12 UNCLASSIFIED Directions/Maps Directions to Sentara Careplex: From Norfolk / VA Beach / Chesapeake (Southside Area) Take I-64 West through the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel From I-64 West take exit for Magruder Blvd (VA-134) / NASA / Poquoson - exit 262B At the first stoplight, turn Right on Hardy Cash Drive Proceed straight into the hospital campus From Williamsburg / Richmond Take I-64 East From I-64 East, take exit of Hampton Roads Center Parkway East - exit 261B Turn Right on Coliseum Drive Turn Left at first light (Hardy Cash Drive) into the hospital campus

14 UNCLASSIFIED Directions/Maps Staging Officer will be located –You will receive the Gate access placards and directions to parking area at LAFB Hospital. –Team Members to be shuttled from LAFB Hospital to LAFB FD. –Make Sure you have your Personal ID and Team ID with you!

15 UNCLASSIFIED Directions/Maps 08:00 AM All Team Members should be at the Langley Air Force Fire Department by 08:00 AM on the day of your assignment.

19 UNCLASSIFIED Personnel Equipment 1.Each member should wear their HRMMST/DMAT issued uniform including: –BDU Pants –T-shirt –BDU Blouse –Ball Cap –M65 Field Jacket (If needed) –Black Belt –Black shineable boots are required BDU pants are to be bloused at the top of the boot and sleeves, if rolled, should have the cuff exposed.

20 UNCLASSIFIED Personnel Equipment 2.The following issued safety equipment should also be brought: –Helmet –Work Vest –Work Gloves –Safety Glasses –Helmet Light –MMST issued Personal Protective Equipment Gear –Hearing protection will be provided at the BoO –Remember we are working on a flight line so Sunscreen and Sun glasses are strongly recommended.

21 UNCLASSIFIED Personnel Equipment 3.Food & Water –Bottled water will be available at the BoO –Meals will be provided each day Friday – Lunch and Dinner Saturday – Lunch Sunday – Lunch and Dinner –Snacks are your responsibility. –Food and beverages will be available for sale from vendors on the flight line

22 UNCLASSIFIED Training Evolutions 1.Joint Medical Task Force - Langley shall develop and maintain plans, procedures, programs and systems for medical support of pre-planned events through a combined effort of local, regional, and federal ESF-#8 partners. 2.Joint Medical Task Force - Langley will establish a full on-site incident command system that will integrate personnel from all ESF-#8 partners within the umbrella of a USAF Unified Command system. 3.Joint Medical Task Force - Langley will identify, demonstrate, and evaluate best practices for responder safety during all phases of the exercise

23 UNCLASSIFIED Training Evolutions 4.Joint Medical Task Force - Langley will provide a venue for medical and logistical equipment training and familiarization. 5.Joint Medical Task Force - Langley will prepare an After Action Report and an Improvement Plan both jointly and as individual entities.
