TEPPC’s “Resource Options Cases” Meeting Purpose: Exploration renewables resources that could help meet California’s long-term greenhouse gas reduction and renewable energy goals TEPPC’s Resource Option Cases Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC) Transmission Expansion Planning Policy Committee (TEPPC) performs Interconnection-wide transmission planning In 2012-13, TEPPC modeled a set of cases assuming 12,000 GWh of renewable energy are added to the grid to meet higher loads and RPS requirements across the West in the study year 2022. Known as the 2022 “Resource Options Cases” 2
