Salary Encumbrance – Liquidation Recommendation by UT SIS March 4, 2016 UT SIS gave each campus an option to liquidate all remaining salary encumbrances until the issues that are causing errors in the encumbrance values can be resolved. 5. Salary Encumbrance Update as of Today March 14, 2016 UTSA initiated Service Now Ticket to UT SIS requesting that salary encumbrances be liquidated until issues can be resolved. UTSA request included our desire to have them re-encumbered effective 6/1/2016 so that we have encumbrances through the summer. The actual liquidation must be completed after hours and in between payroll processes. We sent out a “Special” Key Announcement yesterday letting you know the process to liquidate has started. Another Key Announcement will be sent once complete. After the completion Key Announcement, please email us at Budget.HCM@utsa.edu if there are any salary encumbrances that remain so that we can work with UT SIS to clean up any “stragglers”.
