LONDON and BERLIN 2016 By: Anna Davis
2
LONDON My assumptions about London was what I expected. I knew it was going to be rainy most of the time. Most everyone in London was nice except they seemed to make fun of American’s. Also the country is full of many different historical buildings. One thing I did expect was the tube, for some reason I thought they used buses to go from place to place.
3
LONDON REALLY HAS THIS!
4
LONDON Going to London was like taking a step back in time. Everything is so much older compared to modern America.
5
LONDON London is a lot older compared to America and there are many historical castle, parliaments, and churches.
6
LONDON Things that impacted me most in London was seeing the historical part of London such as changing of the guards, the tower bridge, and Big Ben.
7
BERLIN What impacted me the most was all the memorials for the Jewish community for the evil things the Nazis did to the Jews. It takes a lot for a country to admit their wrong doings.
8
BERLIN AFTER THE WAR I found it very interesting that after the war many places were destroyed during the war. This church was partly destroyed and after the war it was only partly rebuilt and the rest was left how it was as a memorial.
9
BERLIN My assumptions on Berlin were negative to begin with. Germany, from it’s past history, has left a nasty imagine in my eyes. It was cold and confusing. I wasn’t expecting it to be that difficult but it was hard to get from one place to another. Also I didn’t expect the people to be so rude but they would push and shove and also give dirty looks. Not all of them, we did end up meeting some very nice people.
10
BERLIN vs. LONDON vs. U.S. All three are very similar, we have the same fashion, technology, transportation, and how people act. London and Berlin have a higher security with credit cards, such as the chip in cards. The U.S. is catching on slowly to move towards using the chip. Another difference that I noticed in Germany was most of their signs has German and English. Compared to the U.S. which has English and Mexican.
11
HOW I FEEL NOW? I feel a lot different towards Germany, at first like I said earlier they have left a nasty taste because of their history, but being their and seeing memorials that show their sorrow for what they have done shows great courage from a country that did horrible things to people who were different.
12
WHAT DO THE BEARS MEAN? The bears are placed in different cities around the world symbolizing a sense of harmony and coming together as a whole. Once they are in one place for awhile they are then auctioned off for money to help the world as a whole.

LONDON AND BERLIN Over all it was a wonderful trip and was an opportunity of a life time!
